My current work consists of video and projection. I’m interested in interactions with the immediate, physical environment and how the two sides affect each other. The attitude with which we relate to the outer world leaves a mark, physical and otherwise.
I prefer to use materials that are as non-toxic as possible, including the body. I believe art is something that belongs in everyday life.
Trying to find a meaningful and beneficial bond with all these things is something that I always seem to come back to and try to improve on.
Looking at the history of Terryland in Galway city, a successful urban reforestation project that started over 20 years ago, I became focused on the positive impact one’s intervention can have on the outer world and ultimately on one’s mental and physical health.
