My fashion and textile collections are based on the theme of the seashore, the motion of the waves and what they wash up onto the beach. I collected seashells and seaweed and photographed the waves, seascapes, and the imprints of the sand to inspire my artwork which I used to develop silhouettes for my fashion collection and digital prints for my textile collections.
My fashion collection includes elegant dresses with bold textile applications and constructions, suitable for special occasions and events. I designed two textile collections using my research with the first collection using a combination of the original artworks’ neutral colour palette and motifs, while the other includes a more vibrant colour palette and digitized versions of my artwork.
