My name is Grace Gorman and I specialize in fashion and textiles. My artwork is inspired by sentimental jewellery that has been passed down through my family. Throughout my work, I pay close attention to the textures, colours, and details of the jewellery. I also enjoy creating colourful 3-D textured embroidery samples, within these samples I use found materials, embroidery and material manipulation to create rich, eclectic textures to jolt awake the senses!


By Grace Gorman. Piece 1- 1 of the 5 embroidery samples I created using mixed fabrics and found materials. Using a variety of different techniques to create the textures and details in my artwork.

By Grace Gorman. Piece 2- Dying samples of fabric using disperse dye. For this process, I began boiling water and disperse dye together in a saucepan and leaving a small strip of fabric in for 20-30 mins until I get the colour I want.

By Grace Gorman. Piece 3- A colourful and playful print that I created using photoshop. I will be placing this print on one of my outfits in my final collection.
